Honoring Ten Years of Dedicated Leadership
“Sellers is truly a family. Everyone is focused on the same goals, and everyone works together to accomplish them.”
What led you to join Sellers Manufacturing?
I liked the industry, company size, location, and the fact that Sellers is privately owned. I have worked for capital equipment manufacturers for most of my career and I love everything about it. I was very impressed with the ownership and management of the company when I first interviewed with them, and I was excited about the role I could play in helping the company achieve its short- and long-term goals.
What have you found most rewarding about your work at Sellers, and how has your role evolved over time?
Sellers is truly a family. I have worked here for 10 years, and I felt welcome the first day I started. Everyone is focused on the same goals, and everyone works together to accomplish those goals. The people are all wonderful and the ownership is very supportive.
Have there been any standout moments or projects in your career that you’re especially proud of?
I have been involved in so many changes and growth initiatives since I started here that it is difficult to pick which ones made the biggest impact. However, fully implementing our ERP system has significantly improved how we operate. The ownership had just changed the year prior to when I started so there were a lot of changes and improvements that were being driven by them.
What advice would you share with new team members or engineers starting their careers in this industry?
Capital equipment manufacturing is one of the most exciting industries to spend your career in. There are so many opportunities to learn and grow and advance. If you like to be challenged and to wear many hats, this is where you want to be.
Is there someone who inspired your career path, or someone you hope to inspire through your work?
I have worked in Manufacturing for over 30 years. I have worked for large publicly traded companies and small private companies. I have spent my career in Marketing, Purchasing, Finance, and Accounting. I obtained an MBA and the University of Kentucky along the way and also obtained a Kentucky CPA license. At every step of my career there have been people that have influenced my path, but they are too numerous to recount.
Outside of work, what hobbies or activities bring you joy or help you recharge?
Family is the most important to me. I love yard work, reading, cooking, and spending time with my husband, kids, and my furry babies.

How did you get started at Sellers Manufacturing, and what initially drew you to the company?
I was introduced to the company by my future father-in-law at the time.
What’s been the most rewarding part of dedicating so many years to Sellers?
I am a hands-on type of person, and the boiler business fits my needs. I was mentored by individuals in the company that taught me the ends and outs of the boiler business. There was something new every day and I wanted to learn it all. Sellers supported me through my life, and I felt obligated to help do my part in making sure this company’s standards continue for years to come.
For new employees or younger engineers entering Sellers, what advice would you give?
Listen and learn. Don’t go into a job thinking you have all the answers. Individuals before you paved the road, especially in the boiler business and there is usually a reason for doing things the way they are done. Put in your time and eventually, you will be the one that people will look up to and respect.
Outside of work, what sort of activities/hobbies are you involved with?
I am very active in my church, I hold the office of Elder and I teach Sunday school for the adult class, and I love my LORD. He has blessed me with everything I have.
I do mission work throughout the summer, usually with around 50 to 75 teenagers where we do roofing projects and build handicap ramps for the elderly.
My personal hobbies are drag racing on the weekends for fun and I love spending time with my grandkids and nieces and nephews and playing a little golf with them.
What specific innovations or improvements did you help shape the M-Series into what it is today?
Through the years of research and development, I have been fortunate to have seen the ups and downs of this product, and different individuals’ inputs and have used all of those to design what I think is the best product we can build for the Ultra-low Nox boiler. It has been a team effort over the years to accomplish what we have designed.
