Field Service Manager

 

Summary

The Field Service Manager’s goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability.

 

Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
  • Manage all on site start-up, repair, maintenance and test tasks
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports (internal/external)
  • Document processes to be included in field QA Manual
  • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols on service and QA
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization to improve products for future state
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations
  • Build positive relationships with customers

Additional:

  • Determining additional customer needs and advising on completed paperwork
  • Following directions, Quality Control and Operating procedures
  • Completing all services safely
  • Completing various services and repairs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Requirements:
  • Ability to learn technical subjects
  • Electrical and Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Willingness and ability to train Jr. level Technician as part of succession planning
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Maturity and self-reliance, self-starter
  • Good organization skills and efficiency with time management
  • Physically fit: able to lift up to 100 lbs., walk long distances, climb on machines, etc.
  • Able to travel 50% of time (includes some weekends)
  • Clean background check and driving record

 

 

Qualifications

  • Proven field service experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
  • English literacy
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
  • Technical degree or certification or 2-3 years boiler manufacturing experience
